I am ready for this semester to be over. Even though I have enjoyed it, I am ready for a break. My favorite part of this semester would have to be my Media Writing class. I have learned so much through this course. I have even found my major by taking this class.
For those who don't know I am now a Journalism major here at Weber State. I have been struggling to find a major for the past two years. I originally was going into Nursing when I started at Weber. I had taken my CNA course and I was set on becoming a Surgical Registered Nurse.
I started taking science classes like Microbiology, Nutrition, and Psychology. I was ready to take on this major. But while I was taking the courses, I realized how much I didn't know about science. I kept on trying to convince myself but it just wasn't working.
Finally, last year, I took Biomed and I finally realized that Nursing was not the career for me. At this point I felt lost because I had no goal in mind. Last semester, I started to take an interest in some of the Communication courses I had been taking. So, after taking this Media Writing course, it has finally put me on the right path. I know I have a lot of work to do, but I will do my best and make it to the end.
For those who are going into the health profession, specifically Nursing, I would highly recommend the DATC (Davis Applied Technology College). Here is a link to their website.www.datc.edu

Finals, Finally!
Welcome to the week that every College student looks forward to...Finals Week! Its the week where everyone crams in three months of homework along with several other classes. Whether it be writing a 10 page essay or a comprehensive exam to complete the classes. For those of you who need tips on how
This semester has been one of my favorites. But the biggest challenge was when my husband had surgery in the middle of the semester. We found out he had a stricture in his urethra which caused him to have a hard time going to the bathroom.
On October 1, we arrived at Mckay-Dee Hospital where we had to sit in a waiting room for about 2 hours. Trenton was in a good mood and was pretty laid back. I was anxious and just wanted to be over with. My mother arrived to join me as I waited.
For those who don't know how to get through finals week, here is a fun survival kit for the week. Happy studying! http://www.collegefashion.net/college-life/your-finals-week-survival-kit-11-essentials-for-test-time/

Trenton right before he went in for surgery
For a good 3 hours I waited for him to come out of surgery. My mom took me out to eat so I could get my mind off it for a while. They said it would take 2 hours but when we they finally finished, the Doctor told us they had a hard time getting one of the tubes in him which took an extra 30 minutes. I was just glad that everything was ok. I was so nervous to see him when he came out of surgery. When I saw him, he was on one of the hospital beds and he was yellow. The nurse asked me if that was his normal skin color and I said no.
The aftermath of the surgery
We were told he had to stay overnight because he needed to recover. Trenton was not too happy about that because he thought the recovery was going to be quick and easy. That whole night nurses kept on coming in every two hours. Luckily, my family brought movies and snacks for us so we could remain entertained. Trenton's family came as well to visit. It was a long night, but we were able to leave the next day.
I am grateful his recovery from this adventure was better than expected.

"Ding Dong, Ding Dong, Wedding Bells are Ringing!"
Its the most wonderful time of the year, but that doesn't just include Christmas. As the Fall Semester comes to a close, girls who had been proposed to during the semester are putting on their wedding dresses and are preparing to exchange vows to the man of their dreams.
I personally know what its like to get ready for a wedding during the whole semester. Last semester, along with projects and essays I was picking out my dress and flowers and when I was studying for my finals I was putting the final touches for my wedding day. But through it all, it still came out perfect in the end.

I will never forget how I felt that day on April 27, 2012. It was very windy but I didn't care, I was happy. Trenton was a good sport through it all even though he didn't care if we had a reception or not. He was just happy that his best friend wanted to marry him.
I go crazy whenever I find out a person I know is getting married. Most of the time I find out through Facebook. For instance, my best friend since I was 12 is getting married next week in the LDS Bountiful Temple. For me this really means a lot to me. I remember when we used to talk about how weird boys were. In fact, boys were the main topics we would discuss. Even after I got married we still stayed in touch. SHe mentioned to me she had been dating around and she met this guy at a dance. She wasn't sure about him because she didn't find him attractive. I told her to give him a chance because I remember I didn't find Trenton attractive at first. Now she is getting married to the same guy. I am happy that she has found someone.

Birthday Party!
Once again, I am having a wonderful time being a part of Trenton's family.
Trenton's aunt who happens to be two years younger than him had a birthday party last week where we went to go see Breaking Dawn part 2 and ate lunch at PeiWei's.

Bonni (Trenton's Aunt) and My Mother-in-law Keri posing with Bonni's new expensive straightener.
I personally am not a twilight fan but that was what Bonni wanted to see. After we went to the movies, we got to PeiWei's for some chinese food. We were all excited to see Bonni open her present. We had all pitched in to buy her an expensive straightener. She is currently studying cosmetology and we wanted her to feel like she was updated with all the things that she was doing.
Bonni giving us a little information on how to use her new straightener.
I was glad that she enjoyed her gift from us. I have always been fascinated by the things that people have a passion for. Even though I may not have interest in what they do, I enjoy listening to them and how excited they get when they talk about something. I know I love talking about the things that I do. I love to share it with people. I believe that we all should go after the things that we most desire. It makes us feel important and feel useful. Whether it be Cosmetology or Engineering, we all have a part in this world to contribute no matter how big or small.

Snow and Halo Party!!
Hey look what I found in front of my house last Saturday?
Snow!!!! There was a crazy snowstorm the night before and this tree was hitting against the side of our apartment. Lets just say I did not sleep well that night. Other than that, Trenton and I were planning on going to his brothers house in Sandy because they were going to throw a little birthday party for Trenton. Now this wasn't just any party. It was a Halo Birthday Party.
Trenton and all the guys in his family are into Halo. And it just so happened to be around the time that Halo 4 came out. So of course they all have their own copies of Halo 4. Trenton got one right under my nose. He thought he was being sneaky. Haha! But its fine with me as long it doesn't interfere with his schoolwork and his job.
Anyways, so I was feeling uneasy about going because of the storm that night. We looked outside and it didn't look like there was going to be a storm. So we just decided to travel from Layton to Sandy.
When we got there, their whole apartment was decorated with streamers and fake bullet holes in the walls to make it Halo themed. Even the table cloth was cameo.
We played Halo for awhile, had pizza, cake and Ice Cream. While Trenton and his brother were continuously playing campaign, his wife and I got bored and started putting together the Halo Lego pieces that were on display.
Their present that they gave to Trenton was the biggest suprise. When we walked into their apartment, they had Trenton close his eyes and walk into their living room. In there sat an xbox player. Trenton had been wanting an xbox for quite some time now.
With winter, you don't know what to expect. When we left, we came to the sudden realization that there was snow on the Freeway. We were driving very slowly on the way home. It took us two hours when it normally takes one to get home. Other than that, it was a great weekend.

Clark Planetarium
Happy Halloween Everyone!!
Last Wednesday, which was Halloween, happens to be my husbands birthday and I wanted to do something special for him. Trenton is very interested into astronomy and I wanted him to have a birthday to remember.
As I picked him up from school, I had him drive all the way to Salt Lake without telling him where he was going. I gave him little guides of where to go. He kept on begging me to know where it was at. When we arrived there, he was jumping like a school boy about to go out to recess. We went and saw Violent Universe, a movie about the active events that happen in space.
Overall, I felt like this night was a success and it was so much better than recieving a huge bag of candy for Halloween.
Those who want to go to the Clark Planetarium, I would suggest to go with a show in mind. Go to www.clarkplanetarium.org and look for a movie either in the Hansen Dome (a star theater room) or the Imax 3D Theater that shows movies relating to Earth and Space.

How I met my Husband
Hi! my name is Anne Jones. I am a Weber State college student majoring in Journalism. I would like to take this time to create a blog about current events in my life. I have been married to my best friend Trenton Jones for six months now. We have had an amazing journey together and I would like to begin with how we met.
One year ago, I was working as a Cashier at Wal-Mart in Syracuse, Utah. I was in the highlight of my life. I was in my second year of College and was working part-time. I felt that something in my life was about to change, little did I know how much it would change. One day, one of my supervisors, Bonni Mills, came up to me one day and asked,"Hey Anne, are you dating anyone?" I froze, I didn't want to say no because there were a few guys that I thought were very attractive. But somehow I said no. She replied, "Because I have a nephew who got off his mission a couple of weeks ago. We should get you two together to go out on a date." I was a little skeptic, but I said ok.
She also had mentioned he was working in the produce section. I couldn't tell which one he was. There were several guys working there and alot of them were cute. But when she pointed him out to me, I didn't find him to be very cute. I thought he was okay, but still i wasn't attracted to him at all. Even with these thoughts flying through my head, in the back of my mind I thought I should give him a chance.
During the next few weeks, Bonni was very persistant in asking me to date Trenton. Finally, on October 5, she told me he really wants to meet me. Great, I thought. Now he wants to meet me. On my way to lunch, I was walking out of Wal-Mart when he was sorting out the pumpkins. So now I didn't have a choice to not talk to him because he was looking right at me. He had a big grin on his face and asked me how I was doing. I responded in a subtle way. He mentioned that he has been wanting to meet him and I literally said, "Well now you've met me and...yeah." We said good bye and left. Talk about awkward. But still in the back of my mind, a little voice said to me to give him amother chance.
Later that day, as I was working at Register 9, I was very busy with customers when all of a sudden, I noticed Trenton in front of the register in front of me. Not directly though. He was hidding behind the ile where supposively I couldn't see him. Little did he know I could see the top of his head. He stood there for a good ten minutes waiting for my line to die down. At that moment, one of my guyfriends from junior high approches my register, we talked about past performances we were in and he asked me if I was doing Drama in College. I told him no. When my friend left, Trenton, thinking my line had finally died down, approaches me and says. "So you were really in Drama in high school?" The lady that I was cashiering started laughing as was I. I asked him if he had been stalking me. He gave me this terrified look as if his heart had skipped a beat. The lady at my register started asking him questions about him, helping me to get to know him. It was pretty hilarious. I never found out who that lady was, but if I ever run into him again, I would personally thank her for helping me get to know my future husband.
