I am ready for this semester to be over. Even though I have enjoyed it, I am ready for a break. My favorite part of this semester would have to be my Media Writing class. I have learned so much through this course. I have even found my major by taking this class.
For those who don't know I am now a Journalism major here at Weber State. I have been struggling to find a major for the past two years. I originally was going into Nursing when I started at Weber. I had taken my CNA course and I was set on becoming a Surgical Registered Nurse.
I started taking science classes like Microbiology, Nutrition, and Psychology. I was ready to take on this major. But while I was taking the courses, I realized how much I didn't know about science. I kept on trying to convince myself but it just wasn't working.
Finally, last year, I took Biomed and I finally realized that Nursing was not the career for me. At this point I felt lost because I had no goal in mind. Last semester, I started to take an interest in some of the Communication courses I had been taking. So, after taking this Media Writing course, it has finally put me on the right path. I know I have a lot of work to do, but I will do my best and make it to the end.
For those who are going into the health profession, specifically Nursing, I would highly recommend the DATC (Davis Applied Technology College). Here is a link to their website.www.datc.edu

Finals, Finally!
Welcome to the week that every College student looks forward to...Finals Week! Its the week where everyone crams in three months of homework along with several other classes. Whether it be writing a 10 page essay or a comprehensive exam to complete the classes. For those of you who need tips on how
This semester has been one of my favorites. But the biggest challenge was when my husband had surgery in the middle of the semester. We found out he had a stricture in his urethra which caused him to have a hard time going to the bathroom.
On October 1, we arrived at Mckay-Dee Hospital where we had to sit in a waiting room for about 2 hours. Trenton was in a good mood and was pretty laid back. I was anxious and just wanted to be over with. My mother arrived to join me as I waited.
For those who don't know how to get through finals week, here is a fun survival kit for the week. Happy studying! http://www.collegefashion.net/college-life/your-finals-week-survival-kit-11-essentials-for-test-time/

Trenton right before he went in for surgery
For a good 3 hours I waited for him to come out of surgery. My mom took me out to eat so I could get my mind off it for a while. They said it would take 2 hours but when we they finally finished, the Doctor told us they had a hard time getting one of the tubes in him which took an extra 30 minutes. I was just glad that everything was ok. I was so nervous to see him when he came out of surgery. When I saw him, he was on one of the hospital beds and he was yellow. The nurse asked me if that was his normal skin color and I said no.
The aftermath of the surgery
We were told he had to stay overnight because he needed to recover. Trenton was not too happy about that because he thought the recovery was going to be quick and easy. That whole night nurses kept on coming in every two hours. Luckily, my family brought movies and snacks for us so we could remain entertained. Trenton's family came as well to visit. It was a long night, but we were able to leave the next day.
I am grateful his recovery from this adventure was better than expected.

"Ding Dong, Ding Dong, Wedding Bells are Ringing!"
Its the most wonderful time of the year, but that doesn't just include Christmas. As the Fall Semester comes to a close, girls who had been proposed to during the semester are putting on their wedding dresses and are preparing to exchange vows to the man of their dreams.
I personally know what its like to get ready for a wedding during the whole semester. Last semester, along with projects and essays I was picking out my dress and flowers and when I was studying for my finals I was putting the final touches for my wedding day. But through it all, it still came out perfect in the end.

I will never forget how I felt that day on April 27, 2012. It was very windy but I didn't care, I was happy. Trenton was a good sport through it all even though he didn't care if we had a reception or not. He was just happy that his best friend wanted to marry him.
I go crazy whenever I find out a person I know is getting married. Most of the time I find out through Facebook. For instance, my best friend since I was 12 is getting married next week in the LDS Bountiful Temple. For me this really means a lot to me. I remember when we used to talk about how weird boys were. In fact, boys were the main topics we would discuss. Even after I got married we still stayed in touch. SHe mentioned to me she had been dating around and she met this guy at a dance. She wasn't sure about him because she didn't find him attractive. I told her to give him a chance because I remember I didn't find Trenton attractive at first. Now she is getting married to the same guy. I am happy that she has found someone.
