Birthday Party!

Once again, I am having a wonderful time being a part of Trenton's family.
Trenton's aunt who happens to be two years younger than him had a birthday party last week where we went to go see Breaking Dawn part 2 and ate lunch at PeiWei's.

Bonni (Trenton's Aunt) and My Mother-in-law Keri posing with Bonni's new expensive straightener.

I personally am not a twilight fan but that was what Bonni wanted to see. After we went to the movies, we got to PeiWei's for some chinese food. We were all excited to see Bonni open her present. We had all pitched in to buy her an expensive straightener. She is currently studying cosmetology and we wanted her to feel like she was updated with all the things that she was doing.

Bonni giving us a little information on how to use her new straightener.

I was glad that she enjoyed her gift from us. I have always been fascinated by the things that people have a passion for. Even though I may not have interest in what they do, I enjoy listening to them and how excited they get when they talk about something. I know I love talking about the things that I do. I love to share it with people. I believe that we all should go after the things that we most desire. It makes us feel important and feel useful. Whether it be Cosmetology or Engineering, we all have a part in this world to contribute no matter how big or small.

Snow and Halo Party!!

Hey look what I found in front of my house last Saturday?

Snow outside my apartment

Snow!!!! There was a crazy snowstorm the night before and this tree was hitting against the side of our apartment. Lets just say I did not sleep well that night. Other than that, Trenton and I were planning on going to his brothers house in Sandy because they were going to throw a little birthday party for Trenton. Now this wasn't just any party. It was a Halo Birthday Party.

Trenton and all the guys in his family are into Halo. And it just so happened to be around the time that Halo 4 came out. So of course they all have their own copies of Halo 4. Trenton got one right under my nose. He thought he was being sneaky. Haha! But its fine with me as long it doesn't interfere with his schoolwork and his job.

Anyways, so I was feeling uneasy about going because of the storm that night. We looked outside and it didn't look like there was going to be a storm. So we just decided to travel from Layton to Sandy.

When we got there, their whole apartment was decorated with streamers and fake bullet holes in the walls to make it Halo themed. Even the table cloth was cameo.
The birthday table display complete with cake, Halo Legos and cameo decorations.

We played Halo for awhile, had pizza, cake and Ice Cream. While Trenton and his brother were continuously playing campaign, his wife and I got bored and started putting together the Halo Lego pieces that were on display.
Their present that they gave to Trenton was the biggest suprise. When we walked into their apartment, they had Trenton close his eyes and walk into their living room. In there sat an xbox player. Trenton had been wanting an xbox for quite some time now.

With winter, you don't know what to expect. When we left, we came to the sudden realization that there was snow on the Freeway. We were driving very slowly on the way home. It took us two hours when it normally takes one to get home. Other than that, it was a great weekend.

Clark Planetarium

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Last Wednesday, which was Halloween, happens to be my husbands birthday and I wanted to do something special for him. Trenton is very interested into astronomy and I wanted him to have a birthday to remember.

As I picked him up from school, I had him drive all the way to Salt Lake without telling him where he was going. I gave him little guides of where to go. He kept on begging me to know where it was at. When we arrived there, he was jumping like a school boy about to go out to recess. We went and saw Violent Universe, a movie about the active events that happen in space.

Overall, I felt like this night was a success and it was so much better than recieving a huge bag of candy for Halloween.

Those who want to go to the Clark Planetarium, I would suggest to go with a show in mind. Go to www.clarkplanetarium.org and look for a movie either in the Hansen Dome (a star theater room) or the Imax 3D Theater that shows movies relating to Earth and Space.
